EV Compatible Flat-Top

Volvo Truck Australia has introduced its range of electric powered prime movers to the Australian market, targeting short haul heavy lift - ideal for businesses w=like CD Dodd.  In early 2025, the customer approached WA Bos to work on designing and building a bespoke trailer, capable of the heavy duty usage undertaken by the rest of its fleet, but able to operate partnered with the EV prime mover.

The result - a trailer that provides complete integration with the control systems of the truck.  Add airbag suspension,  autonomous third axle lowering, responsive to payload and electrically actuated landing legs and this one is a special package.

 

And of course, as the new flagship of the fleet - she had to look the part! WA Bos ensured that the livery perfectly matched the colour scheme of the Volvo vehicle, making the entire rig really stand out from the crowd.
